Quiet so long...
Wow, this blog has really been quiet for the whole month of June and July. And here's me again trying to keep this blog alive!
I have fixed the chatterbox thingy. Hope this one won't go weird. I think maybe it's the lack of activity that caused it to go bonkers. Anyways, there's a new one, so do keep this blog alive.
I'll be going to UK soon. Less than 1 month left. Hope to see the UK-ians when I'm there, though I'm not very ready to leave Malaysia yet.
Will try to meet with the Aussies if our holidays coincides. Anyways, try to keep everyone updated, especially those without personal blogs! Till the next post, missing all of y'all!

IHers commencement dinner!
Grace & I after our first formal dinner in International HouseHahahaha.. Since this blog is pretty much dead, let me now resuscitate it with my commencement dinner this evening.
First of all, we gotta come dressed up, like how we would’ve done for prom and cocktail parties, and on top of that, we gotta wear our academic gown, which makes you immerse into the world of Harry Potter once you put on it. Black in colour with fluffy sleeves, we actually gotta put this own every Tuesdays and Thursdays for our “high table” dinner. Cool eh? The only thing that we lack is magic spells, wand, and spell books… Maybe I can use those thick and old medical books in the library. They look antic enough to pass as spell books. & the next thing I need to do is running around from corner to corner of our residential blocks, pretending that I am late for class… Definitely it gives you a sense of Hogwarts! Too bad the building is not as canggih as Hogwarts.
The block where I stay, it has a revolving-staircase-look-alike, but it doesn’t move. & our rooms ain’t like the dungeons you see in Gryffindor tower. It is just a corridor with 5 rooms on each side, and a communal bathroom. We have pictures of human (maybe they are old headmasters/mistresses in IH) but they don’t move or talk or ask passwords as you walk pass them. They pretty much immobile, unlike the one in Hogwarts where they move from portraits to another.
Most of the people here live with 3 things in their mind, Alcohol-Sex-Smoking disorder. I call it the ASS syndrome. Maybe I am being judgmental, I dunno, but they are no where like those students running in Hogwarts ground, playing Quidditch or practicing spells or eating jelly beans from Hogmeade.
Hrm, it’s 12.45am now and I am typing weird stuff. Not because I miss Harry Potter, but I miss home. Although there isn’t much connection as to what I am typing & missing home, but yah, this is what happened today. By the way, happy Chinese new year to all!!!!

Blogspot somehow hates me and refuses to let me post anything up on the chatterbox (and that includes your blog too Chuen)..CH, know of anything I can do about this?!!!
How have you guys been? Hope everything's going good and those overseas have adjusted well.
It snowed this morning and there's still some light snow (it's like close to 4pm now)..wheee! Everything's sooo pretty but it's FREAKING COLD! I can't even afford to skive off classes coz all the important modules seem to happen today..why why why? ah well..I'm free the whole day tomorrow!
Anyway, as you can see from above, I went to Switzerland during my Christmas break.
Oh, ignore the dates on the photos..I was too lazy to set my dates and yeah it got stuck in 2004. Going clockwise from the left:
- The first pic is the famous Lake Geneva jet d'eau (water fountain), the area surrounding the lake is soo pretty!
- The sephia coloured one was taken in Zurich and I was there for a day trip just for the biggest Christmas Market in the whole of Europe! Had lots lots of yummy food
- See all the flags??? That's the UN Building!! Too bad they were closed for the winter..It would've been so cool to go in there!
- This cathedral is famouse because of John Calvin (remember your Sejarah?). I can't remember it's name now and there was a lovely crepe shop just outside the cathedral. ahh bliss

Oii there!
Hey there everyone...
It's good to hear from Grace and Wenhao...I hope the rest of you guys aren't doing too bad either. Good luck with your exams also!
I'm doing fine...but like WH mentioned...I'm wayyy behind my work. Third year has been really crazy. I've got the same hours of class like last year but the workload is unbelievable. More and more assignments/activities keep on pouring in each week and I've got some paper or another due almost every week till after my Christmas hols. I haven't even had the time to go swimming , although I'd count shopping as a form of exercise..whee
On to better news, June + some friends came up for a visit last weekend! During the same weekend, the M'sian-Singaporean Games were also held (she played tennis). But who cares about the MSS Games..It was a fab weekend that consisted of clubbing+alco, good food, good bitching and shopping of course. June displayed very funny characteristics whilst drunk and also an incredibly bimbotic side enough to rival the Champion Bimbo, chiamsuchuen. All of us at Notts came to the conclusion that June..you really need to train up your liver in order to party the way we do @ Notts! Mid-partying u mampus gila dah, then got high at my house the next day..no shame!
I won't be back this Christmas and I suppose it's a good thing cos there's just too much work to complete but do expect me in Easter next year...but then, I don't know if you guys would still be around. June and I + a bunch of friends plan to go to Barcelona in Jan...hopefully it'll work out this time yeah!
Okay gotta go sleep now..I've had 13 hrs worth of sleep since last Fri, courtesy of last weekend's craziness.

life here..
hey all
i can't believe its been 5 weeks since i am here. i think i accidentally stepped into a time machine when i boarded the plane at klia. 5 weeks seemed like 5 days only, either that or i have some mental cognition problem.
so, if you guys are wondering how i'm doing, all i can say that i have never been better. to scare you even more, i am actually touring new york city, not kota kinabalu, on my own next week. i'll be leaving duke, north carolina on saturday, and then heading to nyc. shall be going up to boston to visit my friend at MIT, and then going to nyc for the next 4 days, where i will meet up with an american friend of mine. it is gonna be a great adventure, scary as it seems, i'm pretty excited. i've planned to jog at central park, eat bagles, go up the statue of liberty, and go watch US Open, (as in stand outside the gates and try to break in), * of course i have no money to buy tickets to watch federer play lah)
so my 5 weeks here, it started off really boring-ly. but now, it's awesome. in fact, i don't really want to leave at all. working is so much more relaxing than studying cuz it doesn use too much brain cells. also, there is more patient interaction, something which i really like. i figured that i could not possibly work in a lab when it only involved machine or computers, or simulators. gosh, i would go crazy.
i'll turn into a gilababi and go to tanjung rambutan. haha
shopping here has been wayyyy too good to be true ( note: auntie and woman would die to shop here) and auntie, i got a new sexy ipod nano. hahahaha. black is sexy, but white is pure and sexy.
i've got one of the best collegues one could ever ask for. everyone is so nice. at the lab, its usually me, the lab guy, one other guy who's workign here for a year, and the principal investigator, who happens to be a medical doctor who graduated from imperial college. boy, he is SO FUNNY that he always tells stories during lab times. he was telling us about how he used to throw hospital garbage at other medical school's rugby players. hospital garbage including urine and waste... sounds a lot like IMU eh? keke
anyway, got to go now. take care guys.
